March for Life

29Aug11

It’s great to see on this clip of the annual March for Life in the U.S. how many young people are there giving witness to the most basic of all human rights – the right to life!

The weekend papers have been full of the news that a Conservative backbencher, Nadine Dorries and Labour M.P. Frank Field have put forward an amendment to the health bill which would strip abortion providers such as Marie Stopes of their pregnancy counselling roles, opening them up to tenders from “independent organisations”. World Youth Day

25Aug11

Further to the last post regarding media coverage of World Youth Day in Madrid we managed to find the blog posting on the Guardian website by a man called Andrew Brown who has written  about the Popes’ visit to Spain in mixed terms.  It is interesting to note he has noticed the BBC bias aswell when it comes to reporting anything to do […]

You will have noticed the varying coverage of the wonderful World Youth Day in Madrid that has just ended.  It is important that every Catholic spreads the positiveness of this fantastic display of the Catholic Church’s youth and commitment.  The Guardian’s newspaper‘s coverage has been more sympathetic and encouraging than the BBC’s website which is […]

With World Youth Day in the news we thought it would be interesting to show you this  news from the pro-life website Lifesite.   It is interesting to note that Madrid is known as the “abortion – mecca” because of the high rates of abortion.  Have a look at this story http://www.lifesitenews.com/news/world-youth-day-priests-granted-power-to-lift-abortion-excommunications and see what you think.
