Forty Days for Life

25Aug11

Here’s a wonderfully inspiring initiative to get involved with.  This autumn from28 September to November 6th 2011 communities all over America, Australia, Canada and the U.K. are uniting for the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history: the Forty Days for Life campaign.

Robert Colquhoun is coordinating the campaign in London and would like everyone to get involved in some way.  The Forty Days for Life is a community based campaign that draws attention to the evil of abortion through the use of a3 point plan:

Prayer & fasting, constant vigil and community outreach.   Their website is very inspiring and there are some videos which explain the campaign in further detail http://www.40daysforlife.com/ and shows how everyone can make this campaign a success even if you don’t live anywhere near the places where the vigils are taking place, which is true for everyone in Scotland!

The trailer advertising the campaign is worth watching too.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=On9jankGqB0 and it can be passed on to those who can be involved from a distance.

Also we’ve included an interview that Robert did with Sr Roseann recently at a conference http://loveundefiled.blogspot.com/2011/08/40-days-for-life-interview-with-sister.html It is so great to see something like this Forty Days for Life encouraging pro-lifers to try and change the situation that exists with abortion!  We must never forget or be deterred from actively protesting against abortion in a determined and peaceful way!

Let us know through the blog what you think.  Hope to hear from you soon!
