Lunching With Style

Last Saturday, on the Feast of St Margaret of Scotland seventy prolife ladies met in our centre for a beautiful lunch.  Sr Roseann organised the day, with the help of a hearty team of glamorous helpers,  to bring together women who have varied lives but one very important belief in common which makes them a force to be reckoned with.

Aswell as delighting in the food and the company, there were some amazing speakers to listen to and reflect on.  Catherine Macmillan told us her story of receiving a pre-natal diagnosis of Dandi Walker Syndrome with her daughter Sara, who was able to join us at the lunch.  Everyone felt honoured to have met this special girl who was so full of joy.    It was a story full of courage, love and life!

Mary Doogan, though unable to talk about her and Connie Woodss case, was nevertheless able to tell alittle of what inspires her to keep fighting the prolife battle.  She was witty and inspirational.

Then the ladies were treated to a peformance by Tara Mathews, a Canadian singer who had a great story to tell of her life, mixed with a few songs she had written.

The day finished with evening prayer and an urging to continue to speak our for unborn children and their mothers and a desire to do this again next year.
