A Right Royal Artist.

When a mother is given a diagnosis of Downs Sydrome, the medical profession usually offer abortion as the “soloution”  and emphasise what the child wiil not achieve, as if they have a chrystal ball and know the future.

That is why is so great to hear stories like this one of Tazia Fawley, an artist who sent a piece of her artwork to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge as a present for Prince George.  Her story publicises the fact that people with D.S. can achieve as much as anyone else given the necessary support.  Her mother has obviously brought her up with this self confidence and nourished her artistic talents.   We need to shout out loud about people like Tazia and make sure that society knows there is a place for their child with D.S., and that abortion is not the answer.
