Unsung Heroes

21Oct10

Here at the CWPLI, we rely on our volunteers to help with various tasks.  They give up their free time to help us and their support is greatly valued.

The many projects that we work with often ask us to pass on their sincere thanks to them for making up clothing packs etc.  To show our appreciation, we thought we would have a Q & A session with them to let you know what goes on behind the scenes.  Apologies for the lack of photos – they are camera shy!  First up is Marion  Snow

Q. What are your duties at the CWPLI?

A. I make up baby packs, do a bit of sewing and if required help at the annual bazaar.  Sometimes I answer the phone and take messages.

Q. How long have you been volunteering?

A. 4 years.

Q. What are the most rewarding and enjoyable aspects of your work?

A. Knowing that you’re helping others in need.  I enjoy the company of the staff and other volunteers  and enjoy the pleasure of being in a fun loving place!
