Chinese Rubbish Collector Saves Babies

Lou Xiaoying

Details of the story of a Chinese rubbish collector who saved and raised 30 abandoned babies have emerged. Lou Xiaoying, now 88, and her late husband Li Zin kept four of the children and passed the others onto friends and family. One admirer of Lou’s work commented: “She is shaming to governments, schools and people who stand by and do nothing. She has no money or power but she saved children. (John Smeatons blog)

This storyhttp://www.mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article-2181017/Lou-Xiaoying-Story-Chinese-woman-saved-30-abandoned-babies-dumped-street-trash.html?printingPage=true  shows us two things which are relevant to the prolife movement.  It exposes the true cost of Chinas’ One Child Policy – peoples’ desperation on finding they are pregnant especially with a girl.  Also that despite the mentality that is enforced throughout the country we find the humanity of ordinary people, who have nothing give everything. Thank God for people like Lou Xiaoing who has saved so many babies. Let us give thanks for her life.
